New Empire Earth 2 Campaigns

Michael34, an experienced modder on the EEPLANET forums has released two campaigns for download. The first one is called Spanish Tower and second is named Arabian Tower. They are made for the expansion Art of Supremacy but can work with the original Empire Earth 2. If you need help in installing the mods there are instructions Here.

"The battlements of this tower distinguish it from Christian fortifications. Can garrison up to 10 units, it has offensive power (it throws fire arrows against enemy). Enjoy!!."

Update: RGV1, a new member on our forums has released several models for modders to use in Empire Earth 2. The models range from military units such as knights and tanks to resources and buildings. Screenshots are Here.

You can download the following models:

Empire Earth Facebook App?

As you may have been aware, Rebellion last month released Evil Genius as a Facebook Application. Why is this interesting? Evil Genius was one of IP's Rebellion bought from Vivendi, along with Empire Earth, Ground Control and others. There maybe a Facebook Application of Empire Earth in the near future. I certainly hope they have much bigger plans for the series. Thanks to everyone so far for signing the Empire Earth 4 Petition, we now have over 600 signatures. We also have a Empire Earth 4 Petition Facebook Page.

Empire Earth 4 Petition and Article

What do we want in Empire Earth 4? is a article I have been working on. It is a brief synopsis of what I think the next developers who take on the challenge of making Empire Earth 4 should consider. If you want to add your own suggestions please post in the forum thread and guests can also post incase you don't wish to sign up.

I have now started a Empire Earth 4 Petition. This great series shouldn't die because of one blip in it (EE3). Empire Earth still has many fans and a future if a developer and publisher choose to make it. Since the merge of Activision and Vivendi Games, Sierra has been shut down and the Empire Earth IP was picked up by Rebellion. Please sign the petition to show your support.

Thanks to Pilgrim for posting that Rebellion own the Empire Earth IP, not Activision Blizzard.

New Website and News

A mod called Realistic Earth has been released for Empire Earth 2. It makes Empire Earth 2 more realistic by adding features such as reducing the size of humans to scale in the game and making bodies and blood last much longer. The Empire Earth community is still working hard and making top mods and scenarios for everyone to play. An excellent campaign called The Emperor and the General has been released by Shieldwolf23 and is based on Byzantine Empire and its most famous General Belisarius.

Normandy887, another designer has been working on a very ambitious project called Empire Earth v.2. This Project involves remaking every aspect of the original Empire Earth and improving them. Most certainly one to keep a close watch on. Soon I will be releasing a article discussing the future of the Empire Earth series and if an EE4 is developed what they should and shouldn't do. Stay tuned.

It's been a while...

Yup i'm still here and I know this looks exactly like the old website. To be truthful it is due to University work, my time has been rather short and so at the moment there is no real date for when it will be completed. As for news on the empire earth community, on the 3rd of November 2008 the Won Servers dedicated to Empire Earth and EE:AOC were permanently shut down so a very dedicated fanbase called Save-EE.com has created their own lobby that automatically lists Direct Connect (by IP) games hosted by players that are logged into the lobby. If you are happy with their service and then feel free to donate some money to the guys.

As for news on what's happening with the Empire Earth series, well at the moment, nothing. I have tried to contact Activison Blizzard on the future of Empire Earth but have not received any response. Maybe starting a petition will turn some heads around if we get enough votes, however this maybe difficult due to Empire Earth 3's poor reception.

Mad Doc No More

On the 4th of April Mad Doc Software was taken over and bought out by Rockstar Games. The company that developed and made Empire Earth AOC, Empire Earth II and Empire Earth III, has now changed its name to Rockstar New England. For the Press Release go to this link here. Despite a second patch for Empire Earth III being mentioned in the official forums it now looks very unlikely we will ever see it. Whether there was a second patch in the workings we will never know. But our current concern is, what next?

Sierra Entertainment and Vivendi, or now Activision Blizzard own the rights to the Empire Earth name and whether there will be a 4th game is currently in their hands. Since Mad Doc is now apart of the Rockstar empire another developer must rise to the challenge to make another sequel to the Empire Earth series. After Empire Earth III, this maybe more of a blessing than a blow to many fans. Before the takeover, Mad Doc had released a port of Bully The Scholarship edition from the PS2 to the Xbox 360. It received good reviews, however many players experienced frequent bugs and crashes, the article is here.

So, at the moment it is a matter of if there will be another sequel to Empire Earth, rather then when. Whether Vivendi can still see the series making profit for them, then it might be likely the latter. But judging by how Empire Earth 3 did, they may just finish the series once and for all. I hope for the fans this wont be the case. For now I will try my best to find out what the future is for the series of my beloved Empire Earth. My site Empire Earth Planet has now been around for more than 2 years, going back with the first announcement of the Art of Supremacy Expansion for Empire Earth 2. Time does go by rather quickly.

Any information I'll find on the future of Empire Earth will be posted up on here, so if you want to keep informed keep checking the site.

Empire Earth 3 Release

Empire Earth III will be released on the 6th of November 2007 while in Europe we will have to wait slightly longer to the 9th of November. Here is a shot of the front cover

At Gamespot there is a behind the scenes trailer of Empire Earth III showing footage of the game and other information. Check it out here. Posted from Empire Earth Heaven is a comparison from IGN showing the differences in graphics from the previous Empire Earth II compared to Empire Earth III. Click here to read it. This is small a quote from the article

"And here's the proof in the pudding. The 'money shot' if you will. Holy hell that looks good. As opposed to all the other units we've featured so far in this spread, these warships don't have a speck of red or blue on them, with a far more muted palette, but they look great. Still a lot like scale models, but when you're too busy picking your jaw up from the floor after checking out the water, the forest and the battlements, you're not going to care. I think that archer in the castle is going to have a hard time taking the ships down though. Unless he has arrows tipped with nuclear warheads. Which he well might"
